Critical patch issued for IE7

Microsoft has today issued a critical patch for Internet Explorer 7.

The patch IE 7 — MS09-002 — addresses vulnerabilities in the latest version of the Internet Explorer 7 browser running on Windows Vista and XP. The vulnerability, which could potentially allow hackers to take over a user’s desktop and install software, is rated only moderate for IE 7 running on Windows Server 2003 and 2008.

It  is part of the Feb. 2009 patch release. The full version of the Microsoft Security Bulletin Summary for February 2009 can be found at:

Users of the CloudTesting.com website regression service will be able to see how their website performs using the new updated IE7 from 18:00 GMT today.
